- Our Q&A with Behind the Steel Curtain On Sunday http://www.authenticsclevelandbrowns.com/cheap-joel-bitonio-jersey , the Cleveland Browns’ 2018 regular season begins when they battle the Pittsburgh Steelers. To help preview a few topics from the Steelers’ perspective, we reached out to Jeff Hartman from Behind the Steel Curtain and exchanged five questions with him. Enjoy!Le'Veon Bell holding out gives the Browns a big leg up.Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty ImagesChris: “Week 1 is here, and Le’Veon Bell is continuing his holdout to the point where it doesn’t look like he will play Sunday. Were Steelers fans expecting this? Who takes his spot and what do they offer?”Jeff: “I don’t think any Steelers fans were expecting this. Everyone thought he would follow the same protocol as last year, and that was by simply showing up prior to Week 1 and playing out the regular season. At this point, who knows when he will return. Maybe he just sits out Week 1 to make a point, or maybe he waits until Week 11, the last possible time to report, and then plays out the final few games of the regular season. Who knows, but you will see a heavy dose of James Conner and Stevan Ridley in his place. Not the same talent as Bell, but hard-nosed runners who played extremely well in the preseason.”With Todd Haley gone from Pittsburgh, Big Ben gets more control.Photo by Jared Wickerham/Getty ImagesChris: “Todd Haley was the Steelers’ offensive coordinator for awhile, and now he’s in Cleveland. Just based on the preseason, how do you expect the Steelers’ offensive attack to change, if at all?”Jeff: “Ben Roethlisberger will have more control of it, and the Steelers will utilize more uptempo offense to slow down the Browns’ pass rush. Myles Garrett is a legitimate concern White Darren Fells Jersey , and look for Roethlisberger and company to try and run the football, and utilize the no-huddle as much as possible on the road to help negate the impact he can have on the game. Fichtner is more open to change than Haley is/was, and this could work to the Steelers’ advantage.”Alejandro Villanueva is the soft spot of Pittsburgh’s offensive line at left tackle.Photo by Patrick McDermott/Getty ImagesChris: “What would you consider the biggest vulnerability on Pittsburgh’s offensive line?”Jeff: “Alejandro Villanueva. The team’s starting left tackle is by far the weakest link, but it doesn’t mean he is terrible. He will have his hands full with Garrett and company, and look for Pittsburgh to always be aware of who is lining up across from Villanueva. Other than Villanueva, the Steelers’ offensive front struggled in run blocking last year, while excelling in pass protection.”Without Ryan Shazier in the middle, the Steelers’ defense will still have issues covering running backs and tight ends.Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty ImagesChris: “Which position group on defense is the one Cleveland’s offense can best take advantage of?”Jeff: “If you want to beat the Steelers’ defense you have to attack the middle of the field. The Steelers’ have a very good defensive front, and a much-improved secondary. However, without Ryan Shazier there is a gaping hole left in the middle of the field. TEs and RBs out of the backfield have killed this defense, and it doesn’t look as if that will change heading into Week 1.”Chris: “Hard Knocks has won the Browns a lot of national support this year. How is the Pittsburgh fanbase approaching this week’s game? ‘Same old Browns?’ Do you view Cleveland as the basement of the division still?”Jeff: “The real Steelers fans who pay attention know this won’t be a cake walk. While some still say the same-old sayings about the Browns, honest fans knew this day would come. The day when the Browns’ draft picks and free agent pick ups would actually legitimize the team. For the most part, Steelers fans, especially without Le’Veon Bell, are taking this game very serious. Division game http://www.authenticsclevelandbrowns.com/cheap-trevon-coley-jersey , on the road against a team with nothing to lose. That is a recipe for disaster, and we will see how it plays out on Sunday.”Thanks again to Jeff for taking the time to answer my questions.AFC North Roundup: October 4, 2018 Through four weeks, the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals are at three wins apiece, while the Cleveland Browns join the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1-2-1. But with the Ravens coming to Cleveland this Sunday, the Bengals hosting a once-undefeated Miami Dolphins squad and the Steelers facing the high-scoring Atlanta Falcons, the complexion of the AFC North could be much different come Monday morning. Here’s all the need-to-know news around the division, starting with Cleveland’s formidable Week 5 opponents.Baltimore Ravens: It’s always good to do a little reconnaissance on an upcoming opponent, so how about this: Baltimore Beatdown’s Logan Levy put the tape on to dissect the Ravens’ Week 4 drubbing of the Steelers’ defense. That didn’t include many contributions by veteran receiver Michael Crabtree, though, leaving Frank J. Platco wondering whether the Ravens “have a Michael Crabtree problem.”For all other Ravens-Browns coverage leading into Sunday’s game, Baltimore Beatdown’s Storystream is being regularly updated, and includes news that cornerback Brandon Carr will remain a starter despite the return of Jimmy Smith from suspension.Pittsburgh Steelers: ESPN reported earlier this week that holdout Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell will return to the team during their Week 7 bye. But Behind the Steel Curtain’s Simon Chester notes that head coach Mike Tomlin as well as a number of Bell’s teammates have yet to hear from the back, let alone have received confirmation from him that he’s indeed targeting Week 7 as the end of his extended absence. The Steelers have one win so far this season and there are myriad reasons for it. But, until the team starts “being more honest about what those problems are Youth Denzel Ward Jersey ,” there will be no way to implement solutions, writes Chester. And he’s not wrong; Tomlin displayed this ignorance himself this week by claiming that penalties are what have hurt Pittsburgh’s offense early in games. Chester’s got the rebuttal: the Steelers have yet to be flagged on offense on their opening drives, and the problems lie elsewhere.Cincinnati Bengals: In order for the Bengals to best the Dolphins on Sunday, Cincy Jungle’s Matt Minich says the defense must take care of business against Miami’s passing game and quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Man coverage, says Minich, is one key to success against Tannehill’s arm and Miami’s receivers. That Cincinnati defense could get some additional help this week. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict is back on the practice field after a four-game suspension served for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy, and, according to John Sheeran, this time he’s in great shape. Often after previous suspensions, Burfict has been out of shape, but not this time, which means he could very well play against the Dolphins on Sunday. Custom Green Bay Packers Jerseys
