I really like how Balenciaga managed to take such saucony sale shoes an old-fashioned flower as the violet and create with it a truly modern perfume. Elegant, airy, intelligent, and sophisticated, this is a great work perfume for me -- it seems like it's for a busy lady who nonetheless has the sense to appreciate beauty and incorporate it into her daily life.I've had a sample of this sitting amongst others that I acquired in a swap some years ago, and hadn't really thought to try this until now. Boy, am I late to the party! The violet note in Balenciaga Paris is reminiscent to me of the top notes in Yves Saint Laurent Paris--beautifully lucid with almost a silky, subtly banana-like finish. It's also the closest fragrance I have smelled to Guerlain Tokyo with it's common ethereal violet note.
When that runs out (now sadly discontinued and expensive), I may have to replace it with Balenciaga Paris. I love the balance between classic and contemporary in this floral beauty. Simple, yet completely unexpected with cool, graceful refinement. There are classic perfumes like No.5 and outlet saucony Shalimar that have this vintage aura about them, and then there is Balenciaga Paris, which is the epitome of a modern perfume. When I first spray it on, I can smell a blast of carnation. About 2 minutes later, the violet note becomes prominent and it stays there for the rest of the time. Maybe that's what makes this perfume saucony freedom iso2 so urban. The perfume lasts about 5 hours on my skin, which is not very long lasting for a EDP, but it's still great.
I have since changed my attitude towards this fragrance. It reads like dry white wine. I love it! I never have to be in the mood for it, as with other SWEET fragrances of mine. I can wear with such ease as my everyday scent. It is violets all the way, with a nice mix of cedar in the base. More of a skin scent that lingers throughout the day. I feel like a cool ice princess with this one!A year ago my husband and I spent a day in Stanford. We love it there! Great restaurants, saucony guide iso2 fun museums, excellent shopping. It was my birthday. We tested fragrances, then walked some more, then tested other stuff... He understands how perfumes are important to me and we were looking for something new we would both love. We chose Balenciaga! It starts with a hint of floral notes, very elegant, not overpowering, develops into gently "tea like" herbal scent, with some "roots" for strength.
Such few notes and among them carnation (a note that can be a big no-no on my skin) yet "Balenciaga Paris" is a powdery violet dream with a patchouli infused base (if the patchouli sounds daunting don't fear, it's a very chic patchouli and it is hiding under the violet) that is extremely feminine and elegant. The cedar note adds character and the carnation is very well behaved. To my nose there is something fresh' in it but I can't tell what it is and I can't see it listed. A must sniff for violet fans! Balenciaga Paris is a darling that is suitable for all round use, since I can't see this being inappropriate for any occasion -- when is classy ever wrong? The bottle is also very pretty and the cap reminds me of a vintage piece of ivory. Silage is: powdery violets with a classy edge -- Longevity is: 5 hours of Parisian chic.
I found this on my journey from Madrid to Sydney...I sprayed a little on my right arm and continued on my wandering through the airport. By the time I had reached Heathrow I was constantly sniffing myself. shadow 5000 saucony It's one of those perfumes you can't help but breathe in, but at the same time I was do I or don't I. Oh I do!! Just took me a few months of testing and sniffing. On skin the intial reaction is sharp, take your nose away and ignore for 5 minutes. The intial top notes are strong on the floral side, violet with hints of carnation lending a peppery edge. I would swear blind there is vetiver and something with a citrus note in this perfume...I can smell it now as it settles along with the cedar and patchouli.
